Tuesday
Snow showers on Tuesday morning, most affecting eastern and northern parts of England. These could lead to an accumulation of snow. Further snow showers may affect parts of the northern Midlands and northern Wales. The snow showers then continue on and off through the day but extending through most of England and Wales as well as eastern Ireland and much of eastern and southern Scotland. Drier to the north and west. Highs at 3C in the far southwest, mainly 0 to 1C elsewhere and feeling bitterly cold.


Tuesday Night
A very cold night across the whole of the UK and Ireland. There will be snow showers in eastern England and eastern Scotland, just one or two further west. Some snow showers may affect southwest England too with the risk of some more persistent snow in eastern Ireland. Where it stays dry a severe frost will be forming. Lows of -5 to -10C.
 


Wednesday
Bitterly cold again through Wednesday with the easterly wind continuing to blow. There will be snow showers and longer spells of snow too, these mostly but not exclusively affecting eastern England. Further west there are likely to be fewer periods of snow. Accumulations of snow building to the east. The far south of England, away fro the southwest, may be drier. Western Scotland may also be dry. Highs at just -5C in central Scotland, -2C in eastern England, 1C in southwest England.


Thursday
A continuing very cold easterly wind affecting all parts of the UK and Ireland. A severe wind chill. Snow in north-eastern Britain, also eastern parts of Ireland. Risk belts of snow also clipping south-west England. Central England and Wales may be dry and brighter with hazy sun. Staying near or below freezing throughout the day. Highs at 0 to -3C.
